Liuba Grechen Shirley changed the game for women in politics. She petitioned the FEC to allow candidates to use campaign funds for child care, and won. Shirley is the founder of Vote Mama and a former candidate for U.S. Congress.

Jenifer Sarver, principal at Sarver Strategies, has more than two decades of experience in media relations, crisis communications, speechwriting, coalition building and media and presentation skills training. She ran to represent Texas in the U.S. Congress in 2018. She is on the board of the LBJ Women's Campaign School.

Maya Rupert is an American political strategist, writer, advocate and the former campaign manager for Julián Castro's presidential bid. She shares some of the unique challenges she faced running a presidential campaign as a woman of color, and also also discusses how to empower and hire other women on campaigns.

- Never Too Young To Run
Chelsi Bennett, J.D., was elected in 2010 as the Commissioner/Supervisor of Soil and Water Conservation District Group 5 in Jacksonville, Fla. She served for three years and was the youngest elected female in Jacksonville's history. Bennett currently serves as the Virginia government relations director for the American Heart Association. She has a wealth of experience from both serving as a staff person for an elected official and having served as an elected official herself.
