USA Today republishes the story from The 19th about the LBJ Women's Campaign School mission.
"Despite making up more than half of the U.S. population, women representjust under 30 percent of lawmakers in statehouses, and just below 24 percent of those in Congress. The LBJ program wants to close that gap. Women who lead campaigns is in itself a growing reality.
"'We want to get to gender parity,' LBJ Women's Campaign School Executive Director Kroll explained. 'Everybody needs to work together. It needs to transcend party lines.'"
